STANDING RULES
FRIENDS OF THE LACEY TIMBERLAND LIBRARY
As Revised August 2009
1. Annual Dues: Individuals……………….$5.00
Families………………….$10.00
Life membership………..$100.00
2. Meetings: Meetings of the Board of Directors shall be held on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 12 noon in January, March, May, July, Sept., and November in the meeting room at the Library
Committee may meet on the 2nd Wednesday of the month when the Board of Directors is not in session.
3. Newsletter: A quarterly newsletter shall be sent to all members.
The president, or appointed member, shall be responsible for the timely publication of this letter. Members may be asked for input items.
4. Committees: The Membership Chairperson shall be responsible for maintaining current membership records; issuing lists to officers; and to other members, upon their request.
The Book Sale Chairperson shall be responsible for organizing the book sales and enlisting and training volunteers to work at the book sales and sortings.
The Publicity Chairperson shall be responsible for arranging media advertising, leaflets, posters etc. not provided by the Service Center.
The Programs/Projects Chairperson shall be responsible for arranging programs, speakers or displays when approved by the library staff.
5. Amendments: The Standing Rules may be amended, rescinded, or suspended temporarily or indefinitely by a two-thirds vote of the members attending a regular meeting.
6. Volunteer Ethics: Volunteers who help with presorting the donated books and set-up for the book sale may purchase or borrow only eight books on the day they volunteer.
